About Our Airport Taxi Service
Stars Taxi (מוניות הכוכבים) has been providing airport taxi transfers to and from Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) since 2008. We operate a network of 3,000+ professional drivers across all cities in Israel, offering fixed-price, door-to-door service with no meters and no surprises. Every price you see in our price list is the final price — shown before you confirm your booking.
How Our Fixed-Price System Works
Unlike traditional taxis that use a meter, our prices are fixed by zone. When you book online, you enter your city and pickup address, and the system calculates the exact price immediately. That price is locked in — it does not change based on traffic, time of day (with the exception of declared peak hours which are shown transparently), or any other factor the driver cannot control.
This system eliminates disputes, removes anxiety about the final fare, and lets you budget your travel correctly. It also means drivers are motivated to take the most efficient route — because they cannot earn more by taking a longer one.
Understanding Our Price Zones
Prices are calculated based on the straight-line distance between your city and Ben Gurion Airport (TLV), adjusted for actual road conditions. The airport is located near Lod, approximately 20 minutes from Ramat Gan and 45 minutes from central Tel Aviv under normal traffic conditions.
- Gush Dan / Central (₪100–₪160): Tel Aviv, Rishon LeZion, Ramat Gan, Bat Yam, Holon, Bnei Brak — the closest zone to the airport.
- Sharon / North Center (₪170–₪210): Herzliya, Netanya, Ra'anana, Kfar Saba, Hod HaSharon — approximately 40–60 minutes to the airport.
- South Center (₪150–₪250): Rehovot, Yavne, Ashdod, Kiryat Malakhi — south of the airport corridor.
- Jerusalem (₪250–₪320): All Jerusalem neighborhoods, Beit Shemesh, Ma'ale Adumim.
- North (₪280–₪700): Haifa, Nahariya, Tiberias, Karmiel — longest routes, most planning required.
- South / Negev (₪230–₪540): Be'er Sheva, Ashkelon, Sderot, Dimona, Arad.
- Eilat (₪1,300): Approximately 3–4 hour drive. Comfortable vehicles, rest stops on request.

Tips for Booking an Airport Taxi in Israel
- Book at least 24 hours in advance — especially for early morning flights before 07:00, book 48 hours ahead.
- Enter your flight number — for return trips, this enables real-time tracking and automatic wait-time adjustment.
- Allow enough time — for international flights, plan to arrive 3 hours before departure. For domestic flights, 90 minutes is usually enough.
- Check peak hour surcharges — a small surcharge may apply during declared rush hours, shown transparently in the booking form.
- For groups over 4 — select a minivan (up to 8 passengers) or large van (up to 12) in the vehicle type field.

How Our Fixed-Price System Works
Most Israeli taxis use a meter — it starts at ₪13.50 and adds ₪2.50 per kilometer, plus surcharges for traffic, baggage, night hours, and "calling" fees. The total cost is unknown until you arrive. We don't do that.
Stars Taxi uses a database of 700,000+ pre-priced routes. When you book a taxi from Ben Gurion to any city, the price is locked in before you confirm. If your driver gets stuck in 90 minutes of traffic — the price stays the same. If you land 3 hours late because of a flight delay — the price stays the same. No surprises.
What's included in the fixed price:
- All highway tolls (Route 6, Route 1 tunnels, etc.)
- Flight tracking — we know when you land in real-time
- Up to 90 minutes free wait time after landing
- Standard luggage (4 large suitcases + 2 carry-ons for a sedan)
- Child seats and booster seats (free of charge, book in advance)
- English-speaking driver (on request)
- One free stop on the way (e.g., to pick up a forgotten item)
- Receipt and tax invoice emailed automatically
What's NOT included:
- Driver tip (entirely optional — typical is 10-15 ILS for short rides, 20-50 for long-distance)
- Extra stops longer than 5 minutes (₪20-40 each)
- Special vehicles like Mercedes E-Class or accessibility vans (small upcharge declared upfront)
Booking takes 30 seconds. Pick origin and destination, choose vehicle size, set pickup time. You get an instant confirmation by SMS and email, plus driver details 30 minutes before pickup.
